Jim Holperin draws a ringer

To wit (and I use the term advisedly):
The scary comparisons of the indoctrination tactics of our youth today and those of the Hitler Regime of past.
The author is challenging incumbent Democratic State Senator Jim Holperin in this summer's recall elections. Should be hugely entertaining, as Simac is slightly to the right of Rousas Rushdoony.

Interlude: Youth Of TodayMusical Youth

Bonus points for the Rushdoony reference, although I would point out that until Simac* starts calling for adulterers, blashphemers, heretics, and homosexuals to be executed, I don't know if she's really to the right of Rousas John Whackjob. Definitely in the same neighborhood, though.

*I confess, when I saw her name, I thought of the word "simoniac," the personal noun for a perpetrator of the crime of simony (the buying and selling of sacraments and ecclesiastical offices). Random word association, I guess. The blame can be laid squarely at the feet of Dante Alighieri, who, in typical theist fashion, managed to make images of eternal damnation and punishment memorable, poetic, and ironic, while making paradise look utterly banal and ho-hum.

Shorter version: I am a nerd.

My take on Simac is available at the wirecall.blogspot.com along with some videos of her in a couple different public appearances. She certainly seems like an enemy of public education based on whats out there about her.

Thanks. There's no separation of church and state in the Constitution but it does say in God we trust. I can't watch too much of this stuff anymore these days.
