About those floodgates of litigation

Recent decisions by the [Wisconsin] Supreme Court have opened the State to an explosion [!] of lawsuits and contributed to greater uncertainty in the court system, Jefferson County Circuit Judge Randy Koschnick said Friday.

In fact, [a new study] says, the number of civil cases in which individuals seek compensation for personal injury and property damage fell 17.4 percent in Wisconsin from 1996-2007.
