The conservative right are falling all over themselves about the Obama's certain gaff, but have not said a word about Mr Leno's stereotypical racial slur in implying that a Black man probably "burned and torn down," the bowling alley as, "the," normal angry response to a problem (not being good at bowling).
Well the problem is, it wasn't just any old liberal democrat making the comment ... it was the President of the United States. It lends a certain bit of irony to the whole issue. None of us will be anemic for decades to come.

iT, I actually found Obama's joke to be off-putting. Perhaps I'm more sensitive than most, considering I'm the parent of a kid with special needs, but it struck me as inappropriate.
I had in mind the self-righteous hypocrites, professional Obama-detesters, and outrage merchants, like the one who gloried in switching out a star of David for a Nazi swastika.

Some of them. Some are clearly just having a bit of a larf, some are apolitically nutty, and a few even have defensible messages.
Anyhoo. Yes, the conservatives who blather about the evils of political correctness, but are shocked, shocked at Obama's joke are indeed hypocritical gasbags. But we knew that already.
And yes, I thought Obama's 'Special Olympics' remark was very distasteful. It's not the first time his yap has run on like that, either, seeming to show a rather unreflective or inconsiderate set of background attitudes.
