Yes, it truly sucks up there

Although Canada has a population smaller than California, 830,000 Canadians are currently waiting to be admitted to a hospital or to get treatment, according to a report last month in Investor's Business Daily.
Which is 2% of the population, whereas nearly 30% of Americans under 65 were uninsured at some point during the last two years.

Oh yeah, and half the 830,000 are waiting for a death panel.

The number of people waiting in Canada isn't necessarily reflective of the health care coverage they receive, but more likely due to the shortage of hospital beds, etc.

In USA, where we seem to have Aurora building a hospital and/or clinic every five miles, that wouldn't be an issue.

Hell, I'm surprised they even admit there is a Canada. I'd think that they would be too afraid that people might actually show some independence and look it up themselves and see how they are lying about our respectable Canookian neighbors.

Who knows how the figure was arrived at. Maybe they did a head count in doctors' offices of people waiting to get a note for missing work yesterday. I scarcely believe a word of what I hear about Canada during this "debate."

I can tell you that nobody up there envies this system, that's for sure.

It's one of the unbelievably nutty things about the American health care debate, in fact. You'd think that all the speculation about the consequences of a public system would lead someone to come on up and ask us whether we'd rather have our system or the American one.

The liberal media here is too busy validating right-wing talking points.

Correction: Not talking points. Please use the proper terms: Squawking points or screaming points. You are falsely presuming that the right want to talk about the issue.
