Oil and coal? Of course, it’s a fungible commodity and they don’t flag, you know, the molecules, where it’s going and where it’s not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it’s Americans that get stuck to holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It’s got to flow into our domestic markets first. — Sarah Palin
Energy. She knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America. — John McCain
Like I said,
parody is superfluous.

Domestic oil for domestic good? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. What about a tax refund from the CEOs, executives, and all other big wigs of AIG and the "banks" that made boo coo bucks over the past five years off speculative bets and are now going to be saved with billions of tax dollars. Where's the government buy out when a cancerous WalMart bankrupts another handful of mom-n-pop stores? They send ripples through the economy like any other business that goes under (on a local scale, but still).
So the Bush administration is asking for emergency sweeping powers to deal with this "crisis" (otherwise known as the "free market")?? This is nuts.
