Now that sounds like a really marvelous plan

Local control
Waukesha County clerk Kathy Nickolaus "does all the teaching of municipal clerks on how to run elections."
Described by colleagues as headstrong.

Everything I read about that woman makes me want to tear my hair out by the fistful, while simultaneously whacking my head against the wall.

It says she's running for something in 2012, but doesn't say what. Maybe US Senate?

As much as I enjoy Nickolaus schadenfreude, I think we'd all be better served at this point if the MJS directed its limited reportorial resources at a bigger target. Like the GOP incompetence machine that produced her and/or the foolish patchwork we call an election system in this state.

Kathy Nickolaus is also described as "insular".
1. of, relating to, or resembling an island
2. remote, detached, or aloof
3. illiberal or narrow-minded
4. isolated or separated
[from Late Latin insulāris, from Latin insula island, isle]
