CONYERS: Do you support it?
ADDINGTON: I don't know what it is.
CONYERS: You're telling me you don't know what the unitary theory means?
ADDINGTON: I don't know what you mean by it.
CONYERS: Do you know what you mean by it?
ADDINGTON: I know exactly what I mean by it.

Karl Rove can barely aspire to such contemptuousness.
