MacGyver releases the bloodhounds

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's ace environmental reporter Patrick "Journalism is My Trade" McIlheran (who has yet to provide the merest scintilla of "Climategate" "evidence") warns us that the MacGyver Institute, another right-wing "think tank," is hot and heavy on the scent:
Efforts within the environmental science community to manipulate data and intimidate skeptics ... masking data, incorporating false trends into climate research, and blocking efforts ... campaign of intimidation ... efforts to mask or manipulate data ... efforts to undermine ... yadda yadda yadda ...
Who needs an "investigative reporter" when it's so much more convenient to simply assume in advance every conclusion you're seeking to justify. And no, that irony is not lost.
- Made wind-operated trip hammer for blacksmith
- Escaped from noose with sharp-edged belt buckle
- Roped awning supports, horse pulled awning down
- Alcohol poured on pine nuts in stove mimics gunshots

McIlheran is barely a reporter. He was some weirdo copy editor before being promoted to his lofty perch. He may have worked as a reporter in some stankssville in Minnesota, a rumor that I attribute to my buddy, but he has nothing of any heft on his resume. Who cares about him in the end? No one reads him or gives a feck about one thing he says, other than his mutual masturbation society of Opus Dei frogmen.

He is one of the influential giants of the Journal Communications media empire.
