You lie!

Conservative blogger Michelle Malkin said in one post that ABC News had estimated the teabagger attendance at 2 million.

Meanwhile D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services said, unofficially, that the angry mob was somewhere between 60,000 and 75,000 people.
And there was a number of other events in D.C. today. But what do you expect from persons who equate "Czars" with the Soviet Union and believe that the president can be both a communist and a Nazi.*

Fresno State at Wisconsin: Attendance 80,353.

* Don't you dare call them names, though.

  2. That still looks like it's shy of a million. Believe me, I've been to my share of rallies and heard the official tallies. I don't doubt that the official count is usually a little shy of reality, but I really, really don't think that looks like anywhere near 2 million people.

Also, dig the hot S&M ball gag action on Lady Liberty in one of those signs. Teabaggers do seem to have detailed knowledge of such things. Something tells me if they kept it less in the closet, though, they'd be a lot happier.

  3. "Also, dig the hot S&M ball gag action on Lady Liberty in one of those signs."

That's to prevent her from reciting The New Colossus.

  4. Playing down the count is all over the statist blogs today.

Obviously time to bring out the Saul Alinsky playbook for damage control.

If politics were a cookie jar the statist's would have chocolate all over their collective faces.

And the 9/12 rally's is still just for openers. The best poster I saw was, "It doesn't matter what this sign says, you're going to call it racist anyway."

  5. From Moonbattery:

[O]ne completely objective source of information is the number of people who rode Metro, Washington, DC's mass transit subway system. Washington Metro measures and releases its ridership numbers and these numbers have been used in the past to judge the size of major events in Washington, DC.

For a fair comparison, we looked at the Saturday after Labor Day in 2008, which is when September 12 fell in 2009. On September 12, 2009, 437,624 rode metro rail. By comparison, on the Saturday after Labor Day in 2008, 202,528 rode. The difference is 235,096. Even if nobody else came to the March, and we know they did by chartered bus and by carpool, the theory that only 70,000 people were there is off by roughly 335% - debunking the 70,000 claim.

    Nice try though.

  6. Yeah, I knew I'd never get away with "two million."
