"I can't help but notice that two stories down it says that there will be no prosecution of CIA torture. So let me get this straight ... in today's world it is ok to waterboard someone as long as you don't share an MP3 with them?"
Yes, if you thought the housing bubble and the credit bubble were fun, wait 'til you see the copyright bubble battle. It's plastic turtles, all the way down. Would you rather rescue Google or AIG?
You can share the MP3, as long as it is AC/DC or Barney the Dinosaur and the sharee agrees to use it in psychological operations.
I found this site a while back. It's selection is fairly limited, but you can build an embeddable playlist. They also have an agreement with the RIAA, so it's not going anywhere soon.
Thanks. I thought if I could find a host for the file and then have it only play here, the RIAA couldn't have me arrested for essentially playing records in my living room while friends were over.
But if I'm making the file available for download, I'm hesitant to do so. I detest the record companies as much as anyone, but I'm not going to rip off an artist.
More importantly, the embeddable .mp3 players are really ugly.
Alrighty, then. One more: lala.com. They have a tool for quickly embedding in Blogger, and the embed is compact & simple like Seeqpod. Here's an example.
Is not letting this humble soul in - "insufficient privileges." Is the "share" option set on "everyone?"
ReplyDeleteNot at the moment, as I ponder its legality.
