This Pierce dude is reading my mind today

Said Pierce: "Really, the larger issue is not even a gun rights issue. It's the issue of having a disorderly conduct statute that is a catchall statute for otherwise legal behavior."
Pierce, he speaks much truth.

  1. Yeah I saw that one too.

The defendant was properly convicted of disorderly conduct when he appeared on a stage wearing a minimum of clothing intending to and succeeding in causing a loud reaction in the audience.

    I can't believe that's still good law.

Sounds like a typical Mike Plaisted and the Change gig.

  2. I can't tell you how many cases I've worked on as a PI where I've thought that the DC charge was just slapped on because it could be or because it was the only thing left.

I hope that my cop friend doesn't read this or I'll end up with my own DC charge.

  3. Thankfully this Wisconsin easy goes approach to disorderly conduct is getting scrutiny.

That's one of the great things about gun carry comin' out fo the closet - policies like disorderly conduct get a little more attention when used. See more at http://www.OpenCarry.org.
