That's only because Gableman's not sitting on the bench. Obviously, a true judicial conservative would have reached an opposite result. With his DA, tough on crime, background Gableman would have easily convinced the entire court to be tough on crime and impose the death penalty by firing squad. After all, he's endorsed by the NRA.
