Gov. Scott Walker's proposal to privatize work determining who is eligible for food assistance in the state would violate federal law and could expose the state to a loss of more than $20 million in federal money, federal officials say.Money for food stamps. Thanks, "Tea Party."
"I really think there's a reason why God put all these political thoughts in my head," said Walker of his "Walk with Christ."Thanks for Ron "Either ignorant or lying" Johnson also.
This is what you get for electing Ayn Rand's disciples.

Ayn certainly wouldn't tolerate disciples who thought they were walking with God. She'd give you the boot if you listened to anything the other side of Rachmaninoff.
Riddle me this, though. Everyone understands free market incentives, right, and thinks they're great? If we turn over a prison to private management, why don't they have an incentive to lobby to increase their profits, either in the form of encouraging more incarceration, or in drumming up new charges and services?
One can fantasize that elected officials will be able to hold the line and get the service at the best price, but doesn't that put the problem right back where they say it started?

Amen. Rand loathed nothing so much as religious institutions, yet her modern day disciples seem more than willing to forget that rather important part of her philosophy.
Or could it be that they've figured out that even insincere invocations of Sky Daddy help them get elected and stay in office? I wonder.
What Foust mentions in his second paragraph is what has happened in Arizona.
